Equally comfortable as a comedian and compere (but clearly not that proficient in video production), I have also produced shows with other acts, as was the case with the "In The Frame" gigs which began in 2016. There's a short clip from one of these performances here. In 2017, I set up a comedy night in Hungerford, with the clumsy but descriptive name of Hungerford Comedy Club . I perform other gigs where I can. Here's a clip from a recent night at Ace Space in Newbury.
I came back to standup in 2014 having quit performing in 2005 to pursue other interests overseas. Prior to 2005, I'd been a regular on the London Comedy Circuit, and I've performed at several venues including places like The Comedy Store, Jongleurs, Downstairs at The Kings Head.
I have written many sketches and skits that can be used in church, and these are available from my short-christian-skits.com website.
I have also written comedy sketches for BBC TV and radio, ITV television, and perfomed one man shows at the Edinburgh Fringe (early 1990s). I'm a past winner of the Skegness Find-a-star talent competition and also (jointly with Tom Binns) the comedy competition that opened the Corn Exchange in Newbury in 1999.
My plays 'Load of Old Bowls' and 'Breaking the bonds' have been performed at theatres in Norfolk and Berkshire. My first novel, Retreat To Blaby-cum-Kirby is available on Amazon/kindle. Click the illustration above for more details.
I even got the chance to talk about my beloved Chelsea FC on a Comedians Talk about Football podcast.
